Tydan Performance Blades are manufactured with ultra high quality 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel and are put through an extensive heat treating & annealing process. The end result is a harder and tougher blade than anything else on the market!
Tydan Black “DLC” Blades use technology originally developed by the aerospace industry called Diamond-Like-Carbon coatings. Created for exceptionally low friction and extreme hardness Tydan tailored it for use on hockey skate blades. Tydan blades use Rubig PECVD equipment to deposit these layers accurately and at low temperatures. The result is a combination of unprecedented edge retention and glide.
Benefits of Tydan Performance Blades:
-Harder steel for better edge retention & longer sharpening life.
Tydan Performance Blades are used by teams, players, coaches & officials in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, CHL (WHL, OHL, QMJHL) & international professional leagues, along with junior and minor hockey players around the world!
Finding the correct size:
To find the holder size please reference the picture below. Typically the blade size matches the boot size, however, there are exceptions including “pro return” and custom made skates. Half-size skates typically round down for D width (a 9.5 D skate will typically use a size 9 blade) and up for a EE width (a 9.5 EE skate will typically use a size 10 blade). Please verify your specific blade sizing before ordering and do not order based on the information you find on the internet because it’s probably wrong.
